Being Sustainably Inspired means we never stop innovating to create products that protect the environment in the places where we live, work, and play. But we also recognize that sustainability must be integrated throughout the lifecycle of our products — from the raw materials we use, the efficiency of our manufacturing processes, and the difference we can make for critical issues such as climate change, water scarcity, and natural resource conservation.

We’re proud to offer sustainable products across our range of advanced water systems and hygienic solutions that enhance and ensure water quality, safety, flow control and conservation. Critically, those products aren’t just sustainable based on one or two metrics. We focus on a matrix of sustainable goals, including:

  • Incorporating recycled materials
  • Reducing water consumption
  • Saving energy and extending lifetime of parts and whole products
  • Protecting water and other natural resources
  • Mitigating the impacts of climate change

This holistic approach to sustainability has helped us develop products such as our new Z100 FloForce High Performance Roof Drain, which was designed to reduce the risk of flooding from heavy rains driven by climate change. We tested this product in our Erie, PA engineering lab that recycles 98% of its test water.  Our energy efficient hand dryers also exemplify our overall sustainability approach, conserving thousands of trees each year while consuming less than 20% of the energy needed to produce paper towels for the same number of hand dryings.

Our goal is to generate 75% of our revenue from products with sustainable attributes by 2024, improving upon our 2021 level of 70%. With our deep and broad understanding of what constitutes true sustainability for our business, we believe we can maximize the positive impact of our products.
